HEY PEOPLE THE BLOG IS DEAD!!

anyway i need a show of hands who can make it for a 1 day(I MEAN WHOLE DAY) class outing anytime during the first 12 days of jan (when we have sch hols)

it would preferably be on a weekday (most prob friday) because i assume you busy people are always busy on weekends.. liek with OTHER OUTINGS .. and maybe tuition!?!?! ETC.

the outing would be like a afternoon 12 meet and eat and do stuff together(cycle.. watch movie..) then end offwith a bbq at pasir ris etc. how about that?

HEY HEY!

since all of you busy muggers are busy mugging, i shall entertain you with one blonde joke:

The blonde reported for her University final examination which consists of "yes/no" type questions. She takes her seat in the examination hall, stares at the question paper for five minutes, and then in a fit of inspiration takes her purse out, removes a coin and starts tossing the coin and marking the answer sheet - Yes for Heads and No for Tails.

Within a half an hour, she is all done whereas the rest of the class is sweating it out. During the last few minutes, she is seen desperately throwing the coin, swearing and sweating.

The moderator, alarmed, approaches her and asks what is going on...

She replied, "I finished the exam in half an hour. But, I am rechecking my answers!!"

in case you have forgotten about the gs project that we are suppose to do, here are some guidelines in which you can follow, due to molina's shifting of house, she is currently uncontactable and hence PLEASE confirm your groupings with me latest by tue 9pm k? - just to make sure everyone has a group and is doing their project. yup there should be 4 groups of 4 and 2 groups of 5. as of now 1 group of 5 has been formed so try and tell me the groupings soon yea? the following details are just some helping points to get you guys started i will try to get the actual copy mr han gave us posted on the blog for your reference so for now here are the points:

We are the core party members in a newly-elected government.
We need to submit a Paper entitled "Main Policies of Our Government".
The paper has to be between 1000-1500 words.
Each one of us must assume the role of a political leader with expert knowledge in either economic development or social development. We must make sure that there is at least 1 member in charge of each aspect.
Read through the political, economic and social profiles of our country.
Try to infer problems that will have to be solved by our governent, and think of possible policies.
In the paper, each one of us must provide inputs on the various constraints and demands of our particular expert area, with all members contributing towards a set of policies that atempt to satisfy prevailing needs within constraints.
We have to come up with at least 2 policies(1 for economic and 1 for social) that atempt to address the problems.
A possible way of organising our paper:
- Main Problems
- Objectives of our Policies
- Explanation of our Policies

oh we should get markers for our class board. haha everyitme someone wants to write something on the board there's always no marker. and mr.Lee keeps accidentaly taking our one sole marker everytime he comes to class lol. then he'll go around all his classes dropping markers to show people gravitational force. haha so funny.

Missing you guys billions of truckloads! Now's the hols but I am kinda bored. ( yes yes we have homework to do but I don't want to do lah! ) Anyway, I finally figured out how to access the class blog, following complications to do with my personal blog. =) so i will try my best to update. yupps.

For those who are/were wondering about their class photos, rest assured, you're not the only one without it. In fact, nobody seems to have collected it yet. Maybe they're gonna give it to us next year. Ah well, it's only... 2 months? haha. REN!("endure" in Chinese) i'll try my best to keep you updated yeah? =)

Let's go to the Zoo ! (most people like the idea, but tell me if you'd prefer somewhere else) I think a good time for this would be either on the 29th of December, the 1st of January or the 2nd of January, when the scholars and everybody else comes back from their holidays and trips overseas. I know it's a little late, but these are the only dates when everyone will be in Singapore. So msg me or smth if you won't be avaliable on any of the three days (:

It's been a little over twelve months since we first met each other, and time has flown by faster than I ever could have imagined. We've come a long way from the little IP0's that we once were, and through all of the happy moments we've had (and sad ones as well), I truly believe that the twentysix of us are bonded as one class. This has been a year that I'll never forget, and I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has been a part of it. <3

Also, I'd really like to congratulate everybody in 01 for working hard and doing wonderfully :D

moving on, class finances eeee. haha. yup in case you didn't catch what i was saying today, this is how much everyone is supposed to have paid this year - $74.50. i know it seems like a lot now, but let me break it down for you so you know where all that money went to (:

$10 - orientation early early early on this year
$17.50 - class tee!
$7 - spiderman tickets (class outing :D)
$10 - food for ip induction (the remainder will be carried forward to next year yup)

so that's $44.50 down, $30 left to go

Total amount spent on notes and lithosphere text: $486.05 (as a class)
each student: $18.70

Total amount spent on notice board: $31.80
each student: $1.20

Total amount spent on IKEA shelves: $58
each student: $2.20

Total amount spent on other class stuffs (lignum party, community service day - remember the little kids? (: -class party etc.) : $92.30
each student: $3.60

Total amount spent on September the 1st :D : $108.60
each student: $4.20

yup so that's all our money went to (p.s. the above calculations for each student are rounded off to 3 significant figures [not unlike physics :( haha] yup so it might be off $30)

1) Wrapping of prizes
Each class is in charge of a particular task, and this is ours. The whole class has to go to the IS Lab this Friday at 1pm (45 minutes after emusic), and report to Ms Selva. Don't be late ! This is compulsory, unless you have a good reason.

2) Buttons
Remember the badges our seniors gave us during IP Induction last year? Now it's our turn to design some for our juniors !
Anyway, the templates should be uploaded onto KM soon- get them done by thursday, because 02 will be doing the button pressing thing on friday. Here's the list of senior-junior pairings:

1) IP Induction Proposals
These are due tomorrow ! Please pass them to me and I'll put them in Miss Selva's letter tray.
I've uploaded the two proposals (the OGL one and the Class Buddy one) onto our gmail account, so you can take a look and make changes/suggestions. While we'll be submitting our proposals tomorrow, that doesn't mean that we'll have to follow them word for word during the actual IP induction, so new ideas are completely welcome

2) C'est La Vie tickets
I'll be passing you your tickets after I get them from one of the counsellors tomorrow (: I'm so, so sorry about the delay!

3) Hand in your chinese camp forms already
Admittedly, I completely forgot too =X Just put it in Lao Shi's letter tray.

4) CAAL and your CCA records
If you haven't uploaded your CAAL records, please do so by tomorrow. If you changed your CCA records but didn't look for the PE teachers yesterday after swimming PE, you'll have to go down to the PE department and sign the updated copy

5) CLASS OUTING !!

6) Help out for IP induction

please do your cleaning duty, because:

1) our class is rather dirty
2) clean classes look pretty
3) everyone likes pretty classes
4) it is your duty to do your duty =P

and it is obvious if you do not do your duty, so dont be surprised if our dear cleanliness i/c PAYS you a visit.

please take note that the cleaning duty does not only comprise of cleaning the whiteboard. it also includes neatening the tables and chairs, sweeping the floor, tidying up all class property (eg tchers table, shelves)

Since quite a number of you asked me about the CAAL thing, nearly all of you have submitted your CIP forms and you guys could not remember what CIPs you have done already.

And pls don't ask me for the forms cos i am not holding...

so if you are concerned about it and really need the records, pls read and follow my instructions below=)

1. Log on to KM student centre
2. Click on Special Programmes which is on the left column
3. Click on CIP administration under Community Involvemet Programme
4. Look for Submission of CIP record and click on it
5. There are several hunderds of files in this sub-area, go and find the one called 07ip1 which is uploaded by me and download it.
Yeah that's all.

Hey 01!

As you guys are mugging for the inevitable and dreaded EMT, do remember a few things:

Feed our class pet (yes, even during EMT itself!) or we will mourn the demise of our dearest fishes =(
Feed yourself! Don't skip lunches just to mug; 30 minutes do NOT make a difference, like it or not.
Get your beauty sleep. Ok, maybe it wouldn't make your complexion better, but at least it'll ensure you turn up for the exam with 'beautiful eyes' (read: minus panda eyes, which are SOOOOO unglam!) and a clean state of mind, obviously vital if you're going to sit in for more than two hours of IH SBQ and such.
Keep the classroom clutter-free or we'll all suffer from claustrophobia due to reduced space.

As such, do take care, 01! Work together as the one Ones and we'll all (hopefully) survive the EMT.

In case you were wondering about that person who kept calling and calling (rather pointlessly, actually, because if someone didn't pick up the first time it's unlikely that that person would pick up the second or third or fourth time because his/her phone is probably turned off or in his/her bag or somewhere he/she isn't at the moment), that was me XD Attempting the chemistry mole worksheet left me feeling inadequate so i decided to go around obsessively calling people so that I'd feel useful (:

Anyway, I've managed to reach most of you already, and a wonderful 21/22 of you are free on Thursday, after the Math Camp for a quick lunch at someplace near our school. (oh and if you know of a place with good food, bring us there!) The lunch will have to be short, unfortunately, because most of us need to meet up for spire or bio or some other project after that. =/
